About askskill.ai
What We Do
askskill.ai helps developers and professionals discover AI Skills and MCP tools by profession and capability, then install them into clients like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor with minimal effort. Our goal is to shorten the path from "I want AI to help me do this" to "AI is actually installed and working".
The Problem We Solve
AI capabilities are growing at a staggering pace, yet they are scattered across countless GitHub repositories, official registries, and community lists — with inconsistent naming, install methods, quality, and safety. Newcomers struggle to judge "which one to use", "how to install it", and "is it safe". askskill.ai gathers, organizes, and refines these scattered capabilities into a single entry point usable by both humans and AI.
What Makes Us Original
We are not a simple link mirror or list reposting. Every asset is processed:
- AI enrichment: bilingual (Chinese/English) summaries and capability tags for each tool, plus vector embeddings that power semantic search — describe what you need in plain language, not just keywords.
- Security review: structured audits of permissions, network egress, code execution, credential needs, and supply-chain origin, with a risk level and recommendations to help you judge before installing.
- Profession × capability classification: tools mapped to real professional scenarios and capability dimensions, so you find tools "by who you are" instead of searching blindly.
- Unified install protocol: heterogeneous install methods normalized into one-click copyable prompts or native commands, covering Claude Code / Codex / Cursor.
- Create mode: nothing in the catalog fits? Describe your need and we generate a private SKILL.md for you, visible only to you.
Content Sources and Attribution
